Interim Chief Executive Officer GuarantCo

I’m working to help bridge the infrastructure gap in Africa and Asia through seeking private sector investors to fund infrastructure in the poorest countries in the world, and showing them its not as risky as they might think.

Emily Bushby is the Interim Chief Executive Officer at GuarantCo, having joined as Chief Operating Officer in March 2018. GuarantCo is a purpose-driven, publicly funded organisation that plays an important role in bridging the infrastructure gap in the poorest countries in the world. Leading the team at GuarantCo neatly fits Emily’s passion for supporting the achievement of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and helping with a solution to alleviating the global poverty crisis.

Emily has previously led the finance functions at a world top-ten university and a medical-related charity, she’s performed mergers and acquisitions for a successful FTSE 30 business and been at the forefront of investment management within the banking sector.

Emily trained as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and is an alumnus of Exeter University, where she gained a BSc in Psychology. She is a keen amateur musician, playing the violin in her local orchestra, and clumsily attempts sport in her remaining spare time, having achieved the honour of officially being the lowest ranked tennis player in Berkshire!
